Israeli and Palestinian

The history of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict has its roots in the late 19th century and early 20th century. The end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century are marked by the birth of two major nationalist movements among the Jews and among the Arabs, both geared towards attaining sovereignty for their people in the Middle East. This conflict emerged out of the intercommunal violence in Mandatory Palestine between Jews and Arabs from 1920 and erupted into full-scale hostilities in the 1947 civil war. The conflict continues to the present day on various levels.
This relates to the book I read which was The Hour of Sunlight by Sami Al jundi. This book is about a guy named Sami and he lived through that conflict. Although the book is one sided and talks from the perspective of an israeli only instead of a palestinian. In the book sami lost some of his friends creating a bomb and is very tragic and shows how many people are dying just because of this hatred for one another. It’s actually a conflict still happening today and it can end very quickly if they would just sign a treaty of peace toward one another or make a compromise.
